Used Chevrolet

Chevrolet is an American car company owned by General Motors and is famous for producing all-American sports cars like the Corvette and the Camaro. Chevrolet was absent from the UK market until 2005 when General Motors began using the marque to sell rebadged versions of Korean Daewoo cars. Today, in Europe at least, Chevrolet’s model line-up consists mainly of well-priced budget mainstream cars.

The Chevrolet Spark was launched in 2010 to replace the old Chevrolet (formerly Daewoo) Matiz. Both the Spark and the Matiz are popular choices on the used car market thanks to their low prices, decent engines and good levels of practicality.

The Chevrolet Aveo was launched in 2008 to replace the Chevrolet Kalos, and while the Kalos was a dreadful car redeemed only by its competitive pricing, the Aveo is a credible, good-looking supermini which offers good levels of practicality and good handling, making it a popular second-hand choice.

Launched in 2009, the Chevrolet Cruze hatchback and saloons — and the estate version, the Cruze Station Wagon — are medium-family cars designed to take on the Ford Focus and the VW Golf. They offer good value for money on the second-hand market and are fitted with a good range of engines.

The Chevrolet Orlando is a seven-seat MPV launched in 2011 to replace the old Chevy Tacuma. It’s a good used choice thanks to its practicality, strong engines and five year/100,000 mile warranty.

Launched in 2007, the Chevrolet Captiva is a medium-sized crossover off-roader SUV. It’s not the best small 4×4 on the market, but it’s a solid second-hand choice due to its low prices, good levels of standard equipment and strong diesel engine.

Chevrolet’s sports car range consists of the Corvette and the Camaro. The former can trace its roots back to 1953, with the C6 model going on sale in 2005. Like all American sports cars, it offers superb value for money, making it a great second-hand buy. The Camaro (launched in 1966) was refreshed in 2009 and 2012 and, like the Corvette, offers fantastic value for money, making it a good choice on the used market.
